On Sunday, March 23, March 30, and April 6, from 9:30 to 10:35 AM, The Crossing will host an Equip Series based on the #1 New York Times Best Seller "Anxious Generation" by Jonathan Haidt. This book examines how every generation after 2010 will be impacted by social media and a "phone-based" society.
Haidt presents over a dozen mechanisms by which this "great rewiring of childhood" has disrupted children's social and neurological development.
Shawn Powell, Rachel Rodriguez, Bobby Rodriguez, and Natalie Gass will be key speakers for the Equip Series. The class will take place on the first floor of the Youth Building. Parents, grandparents, and anyone involved with children from generations after 2010 are welcome to attend. There is no signups, just show up.
