Greg Mendenhall

Elder

Greg and his wife Karen have been members of Church at the Crossing since October 2006.

Greg grew up in Abilene, Texas, and accepted Christ as his savior at eleven years old. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a US Army officer. Greg and Karen moved to Virginia where he completed his Army Officer Basic Course at Fort Belvoir for the Corps of Engineers. After completion, he began his career as an Operations Engineer in Snyder, Texas, for Mobil E&P US and began to serve in the Army National Guard. Karen and Greg became active at First Baptist Church, Snyder, teaching in the youth department.

In 1993, Greg accepted a position as an Operations, Workover & Drilling Engineer for Texland Petroleum. Having moved to Abernathy, TX, they joined First Baptist Church and became active in the ministries there. Greg and Karen taught Youth and Adult Sunday School classes, participated in the music ministry and served in the deacon body. Greg served as Head of the Deacons prior to their move to Aledo in June 2006.

Currently, Greg is a Partner in Texland Petroleum, LP, of Fort Worth, Texas, and serves as Vice President of Operations for the company. He and Karen are blessed to serve on mission trips and by leading a Home Group and Women’s Bible Study. They stay active working out and exploring the great outdoors.

Greg and Karen have been married since 1987 and have adult kids, Austin and his wife Lauren, and Callie. They also have one grandson, Cormac, which is their new favorite hobby!
