Robert Campbell

Elder

Robert Campbell was born in Chandler, Arizona.  As the son of an Air Force pilot, he grew up mainly in Lubbock, Texas; Little Rock, Arkansas; Selma, Alabama; Riverside, California; and Burkburnett, Texas.  He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 12.  Dr. Henry Lyons III baptized him shortly after that at the First Baptist Church in Selma, Alabama.

Robert met his wife and lifelong partner, Kimberly, in 1982 in Wichita Falls, Texas, while home from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas for summer break.  Upon his graduation, they were married two years later in Wichita Falls, Texas.  They have two married daughters, Kelsey (34), married to Jonathan Moelling, and Madison (29), married to Nathan Lowrie.  They moved to Fort Worth in 1989 and attended Hulen Street Baptist Church for three years, then Wedgwood Baptist Church for 16+ years, and First Baptist Church of Burleson until the Lord led them to Church at the Crossing, where they have been members for the past ten years.  Robert has been active in the worship and youth ministries at each church.  In addition, he has served on various other committees, including finance, foreign/domestic missions, personnel, and widows/orphans service.  In addition, Robert and Kimberly taught elementary-age Bible drills for several years.

Robert is currently serving at Church at the Crossing as a musician and sound engineer with the worship ministry, a lead with Sheep Dogs ministry, various missions ministry teams, and an active member of Brother Lee’s Thursday morning Bible study group and Iron Gate men’s ministry.  In addition, Robert enjoys custom leather tooling, woodworking, golfing, and long-range shooting when possible.
