Shannon Young
Ministry Assistant
Shannon has been on staff at The Crossing since March 2003. She grew up in the Houston, Texas area. She worked as a legal assistant for 14 years at a law firm, supporting multiple attorneys, before moving to the Weatherford area in 2000. She was a stay-at-home mom and substituted for the Aledo ISD. She also volunteered at The Crossing before joining the staff here in 2003.
Shannon and her husband, Jimmy, have been married since December 1999. Jimmy is now retired from owning his own construction and remodeling company. Shannon and Jimmy have five grown children and eleven grandchildren.
Shannon loves spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She also loves her dogs and enjoys rehabbing squirrels, the outdoors, Cowboys football, baking, and spending time with good friends.
One of her favorite verses is: "Delight yourself in the Lord, He gives you the desires of your heart."- Psalms 37:4
