Shannon Young
Ministry Assistant
Shannon has been on staff at The Crossing since March of 2003. She grew up in the Houston, Texas area. She was employed by a law firm and worked with multiple attorneys as a legal assistant for 14 years before moving to the Weatherford area in 2000. She was a stay-at-home mom and substituted for the Aledo ISD. She also volunteered at The Crossing before joining
Shannon and her husband, Jimmy, have been married since December 1999. Jimmy owns a construction and remodeling business. He primarily does residential and commercial remodeling, home repairs, and roofing. Shannon and Jimmy have five grown children and eleven grandchildren.
Shannon loves spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She also loves her dogs, the outdoors, Cowboys football, baking, and spending time with good friends.
One of her favorite verses is: "Delight yourself in the Lord, He gives you the desires of your heart."- Psalms 37:4
