Women On Mission

We will welcome a friend who is an Afghani refugee to come share her story with us. She has experienced so much in her life with the Taliban and being resettled numerous times.
Come spend your evening with us as we hear first hand the struggles of refugee women. Within the last year, 1325 refugees have been resettled in Fort Worth, the majority from Afghanistan.
When the women and their families arrive, they are given resettlement packages which include skillets to cook with. Culturally, this is not a familiar item to them. Their comfort is cooking in large stock pots. We want to make an effort to make these women feel seen and to help heal their dignity after the transition they have endured.
Will you help us give them a warm welcome? Each stock pot costs $30 and will be filled with a spoon, ladle, kitchen linens, dish soap, and a sponge. With your help, we hope to fill 40 stock pots.
Registration includes a $30 fee to cover one stock pot. Church will provide items to fill the stock pot.
Dinner will be provided.
